Navigate to the Inventory section and select Sites & Apps. Select ‘+New Site/App’. A modal will appear, choose ‘Site’ or ‘App’ and fill out the corresponding form. New sites/apps must be reviewed by Conversant Publisher Services. Approved sites/apps will appear in the Publisher UI. You may also choose to have an email sent to you when your site/app is approved or rejected.
Some of the most common reasons a site or app is not approved for CPE are:
An Incomplete status signifies that there are settings that need to be reviewed on your new site/app. To review and change settings, click ‘Edit’ under the Incomplete status badge. From here, depending on the site/app and integration types, you can add placements, yield management, filters, integration partners, passbacks, and retrieve ad code.
An Ad Placement is a group of ad formats (or a single ad format) that requests a single impression initiating the auction with Conversant. Conversant recommends that an individual placement be set up for each ad format unless there are specific ad slots that can accommodate multiple ad formats (for example a 300x600 and a 300x250). Conversant will only bid once per Ad Placement.
By default, Conversant created a default placement for each ad format Conversant supports when your site/app was approved. Using these placements is not required.
Yes, you can edit the Placement name and ID. Adding additional ad formats is not possible with default ad placements. To enable multiple formats in a single placement you need to create a new placement.
If you would like to create a new placement, select ‘New Placement’ and complete the required information. During this process you can add up to 5 ad formats per placement. Please note that Conversant will only bid once per placement, so combining multiple ad formats that will be placed in different locations on your page will have an impact on your fill rate.
Yield Management allows you to set dynamic or manual floors in our system to achieve your CPM goals.
A Dynamic Floor is used when there is a specific eCPM amount you would like to achieve for a site/app placement but also want the highest possible fill rate we can provide. To set a Dynamic Floor, go to the Inventory section and select Sites & Apps. Select the site/app you wish to configure. Select the Yield Management tab. Enter in an eCPM goal and minimum eCPM (or leave the minimum eCPM at $0.01 to achieve the highest fill possible) and click ‘Set’. The Dynamic Floor will automatically adjust to maximum fill rates for that site/app placement and achieve your eCPM goal.
Dynamic Floors maximize fill rates while targeting an eCPM goal. Manual Floors are hard floors that cut off all delivered impressions at a specific eCMP amount.
Yes, you can choose multiple placements that you’d like to configure. Go to the Inventory section and select Sites & Apps. Select the site/app you wish to configure. Select the Yield Management tab. Select the check boxes next to the placement names and then press ‘Configure’ at the top of the table. You can choose ‘All’ placements by selecting the top most box.
Select ‘Other’. This field doesn’t impact ad serving, it provides documentation for the listed integration partners.
